This study intends to depict some conceptual problems emerging on course of the translation of Islamic terms and constructions into French, such as Zakat, jihad, Umma, and so on. Along with the discussion of some disagreements between the various translations holding on these conceptsinto French, this paper equally aims at highlighting some weaknesses and shortcomings of these translations believed to stand behind yielding aberrant propositions of the original text and its spiritual outreach.
