Abstract
In Qur an “O ye who believe! Do not be friends the Jews and the Christians” in the sense that verses such as banning as with, “All of the People of the Book are not alike...”, “but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time.... they are lawful to you.” in the sense be friendly there are verses giving orders and recommendations. At first glance, in this article supports the understanding of these two seemingly verse, by addressing, in verse mentioned by the expression “People of the Book”, “ to make friends” are, what is to meant, what is forbidden friendship, peaceful approach to the meaning of the verse ordering, under the light of the evaluation of commentators and in history Muslims - the People of the Book relationships were studied with examples of implementation to occur.
