Abstract
The time period between the years of 1950-1960 is the era of transition in which liberal policies of Democratic Party are practiced and transition to the free market is attempted. The statist economic policies were among the major criticisms of Democratic Party towards Republican People’s Party. Democratic Party came to power with the promise of an economic structure with minimum state intervention. In this context, the fiscal policies implemented by Democratic Party between the years of 1950-1960 would be explained; and to what extent these policies are liberal would be evaluated.
