Abstract :
Dialects constitute one of the primary resources waiting to be explored in the context of language studies. Anatolian dialects are faced with the threat of vocabulary disappearance particularly because of rapid technological developments, the convergence towards a standard dialect, the increasing literacy rate and an accelerating immigration from villages towards city centers. In order to avoid this situation, it is necessary to increase the dialect - field studies and to transfer the resulting data to the Dialect Dictionary. The purpose of this study is to make a contribution to the dialect studies through the vocabulary discovered in the context of field studies conducted in Kadınhanı city center and its Turkmen - Yoruk villages. The newly-discovered vocabulary is classified based on category and area of use.
