Effect of Agricultural Supports on the increase of Turkey Hazelnut Production Areas

The idea of enlargements on hazelnut production areas because of support purchase and price was examined in this study. Hazelnut production areas, support pur-chases and stationary of price alterability between 1970-2007 was studied. Long term equilibrium model of the production areas was established. It was found that, especially support price has the most effective subject on the enlargement of production areas. At long term, 1% increase of the support price caused a 0,84% increase on the production areas. Due to the advance payments and regional yield differences, it was observed that Sup-porting Price Policy made an effect to the contrary of its purpose. Needs which will cause an increase in the profitability and provide a balance in the incomes have risen for farmers who do not have income other than farming and small enterprises of Eastern Black Sea.
