Technical And Economical Analysis Of The Farms Which Are Engaged In Dairy Farming In The Province Of Gümüşhane And Its Vicinity

The study aimed at determining the technical and economical characteristics of the farms engaged in dairy farming in the province of Gümüşhane. Within this scope, the counties of Kelkit, Şiran and Köse where the dairy farming is heavily performed were chosen to be the study field. 134 surveys were carried out in these counties, and descriptive analysis was applied to the obtained data. The study found that the culture breeds of animals are raised in the three counties, but most of the farmers moved since they did not earn enough from animal husbandry. To this end, it was emphasized in the study that the investors and the milk productive facilities should be established and the region should be made attractive to produce income from the dairy farming and the poli-cy makers should contribute to the establishment of these facilities.
