Abstract :
The study in order to determine the variation of soil quality index parameters in the field of cultivation and pasture areas in different topographic positions was conducted in August 2005 by obtaining soil samples from the two separate profiles opened and de-fined horizons in three different topographic area at the foothills, slopes and hills of Tuzcu and Tepe villages. In the study soil quality index parameters like soil texture, bulk density, organic matter content, aggregate stability, total number of bacteria and fungi were evaluat-ed. Increases in the organic matter content, bulk density decreases, increase in aggregate stability, increase in the total number of bacteria and fungi were identified in topographic position to the foot of the hill from the peak. Depending on the application, a soil sample taken from farmlands was found to have properties similar to the properties of the soil ob-tained from the foot position. The higher values were determined for Horizon A when compared to the Horizon B in which the soil samples were obtained to determine the soil quality index parameters.
