Abstract :
The aim of this study was carried out to determine yield and yield parameters of some early maturingcotton genotypes. Experiments were set up in randomized complete block design with three replicationsat the research area of Dicle University Agricultural Faculty during 2011-2012 growing seasons. In the study, ten early maturing cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) genotypes (ADÜ Erkenci, BATEM Erkenci, Berke, Chirpan-632, Dicle-2002, Fantom, NP ÖZBEK100, NMCHBC1/4, OTBAS Erkenci and Paum-15) were used as material. First flowering date, first picking rate, ginning percentage, boll weight, seed cottonyield traits were investigated on genotypes used as material. According to the results, no statisticaldifferences were found among the cotton genotypes. Statistical differences were in terms of firstflowering date, first picking rate, ginning percentage, boll weight and seed cotton yield among the cotton genotypes and years x genotype interaction was statistically significant regarding seed cotton yield.Averaging of two years, Chirpan-632 was determined as the earlier variety. In terms of first floweringdate compared to the first two annual averages Chirpan-632; in terms of seed yield Berke, Dicle 2002 andFantom cotton varieties were included in the first and same group. There was statistically significant andpositive relationship between first picking percentage and first flowering date (r = 0.6404 **) while negative relationship was between cotton seed yield and first picking rate. Cotton seed yield and bollweight were positively correlated with each other.
