Abstract
The mentioned residence was built in Marmara Region, in Balıkesir, on the state highway which connects Izmir to Bursa and Istanbul. Today, the building sustains its function as Regional Directorate of Forestry Administration Building. It is located in Eski Kuyumcular District, which is one of the historical districts of Balıkesir, on 9 map section, 558 block, 40 parcel. It is close to Balıkesir Train Station and it is on Vasıf Çınar Street. In this study, architectural features of this registered structure which was built in the first years of Republic and whose first floor serves as governor administration and the upstairs as Governor’s House was described. Architectural features of the building which was designed in parallel with the political view of the period in which it was built were analyzed according to the stylistic formation of the period.
