Abstract :
As genetically modified organisms (GMOs), different from other plants grown in nature, have genes which do not belong to their own species, potential risks of these crops have brought up in recent years. Because GMOs include new transformed gene products and seconder metabolites, they have a potential risk. Plant biotechnology should focus on plants that will improve production stability; give nutritional benefits to the consumer; reduce the environmental impacts of intensive agriculture, and increase the availability of pharmaceuticals and vaccines. Functionality of Biosecurity Legislation should be performed in order to protect the health of human, animal and plant, environment and ecological variabilty.
