Review of Secondary Education Geography Curriculums in Azerbaijan

Abstract
Under the Soviet Union, geography lessons were not taught in secondary schools in Azerbaijan. After Azerbaijan gained its independence, geography lessons put into the curriculums of secondary education within the frame of changes made in the system of education. Accordingly, in our research, we addressed to new geography curriculums taught in the secondary education in Azerbaijan after Soviet Union. In our study, we made a detailed expansion of secondary education geography curriculums and proposed solution suggestions for their weaknesses.
