Abstract :
UTDOA is considered the most accurate mobile positioning technique but the channel noise and multipath has a bad effect on time difference estimation which result an inaccurate position of the Mobile Station (MS). In this paper we use a noise cancellation technique before processing the cross-correlation step, that give us a better estimation of time difference of arrival which lead to a most accurate position of MS than conventional UTDOA. Computer simulation is done to show the advantages of this idea compared to simple cross-correlation based UTDOA.
