Title Of Article :
A Novel Coplanar Hexagon Antenna Structure for Wireless Applications
شماره ركورد :

Abstract :
This paper presents a new compact broadband coplanar hexagon antenna for multiple wireless communication applications which include WIMAX, RFID, WLAN and ISM bands. The antenna structure is based on the CPW-fed combined with a modified geometry patch antenna in order to enlarge the bandwidth. The antenna parameters have been investigated and optimized by using CST Microwave Studio with a comparison of the results using another simulator Momentum software integrated into ADS” Advanced Design System” from Agilent Technologies. The measured input impedance bandwidth, ranging from 2.35GHz to 4.36GHz, is obtained with a return loss less than - 10dB. This antenna has a total area of 38×30.6mm2 and mounted on an FR4 substrate with dielectric permittivity constant 4.4, thickness of 1.6mm and loss tangent of 0.025. The design considerations for achieving broadband antenna and both simulated and experimental results are presented.
