Motivation: the Hormone of the Foreign Language Teaching

No one can ignore the important role of motivation in the foreign language teaching and learning. Everyone knows that you can only create something when you are well motivated. The motivation is the hormone of foreign language teaching. It provides the drive and inspiration for learning. Even the best teaching methods and materials used in the classroom, without the motivation is an effective foreign language teaching impossible. The motivation is one of the most important ways to language learning success. In this paper are the theoretical statements about the phenomenon of motivation in the language classroom discussed. The cognitive- motivational interaction in the foreign language learning and its influence in the information storage are addressed. Recently, the specific motivation variables of the foreign language learners are outlined. The results of the motivation and the results of the performance and motivation tests in the empirical part showed that motivation is one of the most important foundations of the foreign language learning success.
