Abstract :
Developments in information and communication technologies ensures using more imformatic services in education implementations. In this respect, to be able to use advancing technology in classroom, it is important for educators to adopt technology, follow it closely and to show a positive attitude towards technology. (Marcinkiewicz, 1993–1994; Christensen, 2002; Şahin ve Akçay, 2011). To identify teachers’ extent of technology use will be beneficial in providing effective use of technology in teaching. Therefore, it is seen that investigation of attitudes of teachers who instruct Turkish towards technology and levels of using information technologies is crucial in terms of enlighting teachers’ existing situations. The research is in relational screening model. Population of research consists of Teachers teaching Turkish in the city of Aydın and sample of the comprises of 109 volunteer teachers teaching Turkish in Aydın. When the research results are evaluated, it is obtained that attitudes of teachers’ towards technology and levels of using information technologies do not differentiate in accordance with teachers gender. It is found in the research that, attitudes of teachers’ towards technology varies with respect to socio-economic level of the school in which they teach; In addition, attitudes of teachers’ towards technology and levels of using information technologies do not differentiate pursuant to their proffessional length of service. In the research it is established that attitudes of teachers teaching Turkish language towards technology varies in reference to their professional contentment. Besides, it is obtained that there is a low and positive correlation between attidudes of the teachers’ towards technology and their level of using information technologies.
