Abstract :
The main purpose of this study is to discover how the educational supervisors’ training system is, its consistency with real problems that arise in that process and what problems this process causes. In order to reach educational goals, supervision should be implemented in consistent with scientific principles and methods. In this respect, training supervisors professionally in pre-service and inservice is crucial. As they are trainers, evaluators and judicators, therefore, it is essential for them to be trained properly via in pre-service and in-service training. Nowadays, educational supervision has become a branch of educational sciences and has been accepted as a professional work. Therefore, supervisors need to get their expertise after postgraduate education. In Turkey and most European countries, most supervisors are chosen and appointed among teachers. They are not trained through pre-service and inservice training accordingly. Rather, they are trained by in-service training. This approach is considered as a problem in supervisor training.
