Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate the preservice science teachers’ awareness about science process skills developing. The study was carried out in 2012-2013 academic year. This study was a descriptive study in qualitative nature. The sample for the study was consisted of 16 preservice science teachers from Erzincan University, Faculty of Education. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and were analyzed through content data analysis method. The results indicated that preservice science teachers had superficial knowledge about science process skills. Besides, they had different and incorrect knowledge about development of science process skills. Preservice science teachers could not establish connection between science and technology curriculum and science process skills.
