Views of Prospective Teachers about Computer Animations: Cell and Tissues Sample
Abstract :
The aim of this study was to investigate prospective teachers’ views about using animation on learning the subjects of biology. The study was carried out with the participation of 28 prospective Science teachers and 40 prospective Primary teachers at Bartin University during term of 2012-2013. To make animations cells and tissues pictures which taken by microscope were used. Some animations which were ready were used to make new animations. Animation Opinion Scale (AOS) was used to take data. Result of the study reveals that use of animation in lessons was useful, enjoyable and effectively to learning subjects. Especially prospective primary teachers state that animations give importance to visual. They claim that animations will attract the attention of students. The analysis of the data indicated that the presentations enhanced participants’ views about using computer animations in biology lessons. Prospective teachers’ views about use of animation in courses were positive.
