Participant Interpretations About the Using of Creative Drama Method on the Examination of the Works of Art
Abstract :
This study is constructed on the examination of Turkish painting art 1950 generation’s important socialist realist artist Neşet Günal’s works with creative drama sessions. In the study the evaluation of the audience with a new point of view is aimed by deepen their prior knowledge when they first met with Neşet Günal’s works. Interviews with students and the evaluation part of the sessions are used as data and qualitative data that is obtained from interview forms is analyzed by content analysis. At the end of the study, it could be said that students evaluate works more thoroughly and they realized new connections between the artist’s basic plastic values (line, pattern, form, use of colors, composition, focus, dark-mid-light values, light and shadow, coherence …) and relevance of his work’s content.
