Abstract
In this study, experiments were performed in order to research the machinability of the implant material AISI 316L(DIN 1.4404), produced by the Selective Laser Melting (SLM), and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) methods. This material is the most frequently used implant material in the production of dentures and dental implants. In the experiments, copper and graphite electrodes were used. Experiment parameters were generated by changing the current (ampere, I) and pulse on-time (μs, ton ) values. After performing the experiments, the relationship between the Material Removal Rate (MRR), Electrode Wear (EW) of the material and Surface Roughness (Ra) values were investigated.
