Abstract
Many products are released as a waste material together with the emerging technologies. The storage of these products and their potential harm to the environment is increasing every passing day. In this study, the mechanical properties of cement mortars including of acrylic fiber and fly ash are investigated experimentally. The fifteen different cement were prepared by using %1,%2 and %3 acrylic fiber (polyacrylonitrile fibers) and %5, %10 and %15 fly ash replacement by PÇ42.5 cement. The compressive strength values were not only decreased with increasing of fiber content due to fibers in the cement paste behaves like a space, but also increased with fly ash content. Moreover, increasing of fiber content increased the flexural strength was observed in the cement matrix.
