PHOTOVOLTAIC/THERMAL (PV/T) HYBRID SYSTEM PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS IN ISPARTA PROVINCE
Abstract :
Technology is developing rapidly and widely used in today s world where energy consumption is increasing. Cheap and environmentally friendly way of energy needs to be met by renewable energy sources is gaining importance day by day. However, such as the hot water and electricity energy production from solar energy has become widespread. During the production of electricity from solar energy, as a result of increasing temperature of panel, it decreases efficiency. The purpose of this study panel’s efficiency can be increased by cooling to panel with water. Empirical study conducted for this purpose, placed on the rear surface of the PV panel is passed with water through pipes provided cooling on the panel surface. Thanks to panel, water is heated and that water is transferred to another water tank. Hence, heated water gives its heat to all water in tank. By cooling the panel, both PV/T systems’ performance is increased and the needs of hot water will be met. According to results of this study, when compared with cooled and uncooled panels, approximately % 35 increasing power and % 7 increasing efficiency have been obtained via cooling system.
