Abstract :
Radiation rays are rising up with the improvement of technology and people are constantly exposed to that effect. One of the basic principles of getting protected from these effects is shielding. For humans and other living things protection of radiation shield, heavy aggregate barite concrete which is over 4000kg/ m3 is used in the production. Heavy concrete produces a secured structure against slipping and tumbling due to its high specific weight. Furthermore heavy concrete is also used in constructions which are made for protection against mortal neutron and γ rays that can penetrate substances. It’s hard to process and compress heavy concrete,because of the high density aggregate that is used. In this study, super fluidizing additives are used in order to boast the quality of heavy concrete is radiation transmissivity is observed. Radiation absorption properties of concrete were produced using additives.
