Abstract
Within the scope of research project, characteristics of traditional housing pattern in the six villages of Gonen,Isparta were studied; and nineteen of the houses that are remarkable for their structural system, material and typology are documented. Among these documented traditional houses, landlord mansions which are discovered in Gümüşgün, İğdecik and Koçtepe villages, stand out in the rural housing pattern with their planimetric organisation, mass, and qualified craftsmanship. In this study, these houses are examined in terms of construction system, material and spatial organization. These landlord mansions are also remarkable as the spatial footprints of social structure and hierarchy perpetuated/preserved until 1950’s in the region.
