Abstract
Wireless networks are formed according to the requirements and expectations of the private sector and public institutions, as well as the end users. The most prominent one in these expectations is to form manageable and secure wireless networks. That is why it is necessary to plan wireless networks carefully about whom and where to access, how and with what permissions. In this study, a dynamic VLAN assignment has been established in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) Eduroam (Education Roaming) network, and a rule-based infrastructure is applied for the students, staff and guests in the network. The dynamic VLAN structure has been compared with respect to the number of users, traffic and broadcast values in the static VLAN configuration where all users were kept under a single VLAN on the wireless network.
