Determination of Abnormal Hemoglobins with Different Hemoglobin Electrophoresis

Abstract
Hemoglobinopaties which have an important place in genetic diseases are known a serious health problem in many countries. Turkey is located in world migration and business band and to be able to determine abnormal hemoglobinopaties, abnormal hemoglobines searching has been made especially in Mediterranean Sea region and the mainly in the cities located sea side. At the result of literature research, it was observed that there is no scientific proof about determination of mutation types by using molecular techniques in Erzurum. In this study was made with 3520 blood samples. The results of hemoglobin electrophoresis (acid, base agarose and celulose acetate) show that the existing and percentage kinds of abnormal hemoglobin’s are HbAS, HbS, HbD, HbWood, HbMalmo and HbN inregion.
