Abstract
It was 2000 when Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, the founder of Başkent University, who foresaw the fact that our country would be able to realize its aims in science, art, technology and service through enhancing the culture of education. Therefore, he established the first Faculty of Education among the foundation universities in Turkey, and the teaching activities were initiated in 2000-2001 academic year.
