Abstract :
In this study, the impact of work-family conflict, family-work conflict and job satisfaction in teachers overall life satisfaction is investigated. 238 teachers were randomly selected in Ankara, Izmir and Bursa between 2012 and 2014. The correlational relation method has been used as a research method. The data were collected using three different scales: work-family life conflict scale, job satisfaction scale and life satisfaction scale. The validity and reliability of the scale is tested, and explanatory factor analyses, correlation, regression, t test, analysis of variance are used. The results showed that work-family conflict and family-work conflict affect life satisfaction negatively, while job satisfaction affects life satisfaction positively, and teachers have a high level of life satisfaction. Female teachers have a higher life satisfaction level compared to male teachers. It is shown that there are not any statistically significant differences in the life satisfaction levels of teachers depending on the other variables of the study, which are working hours, marital status, status, age, educational background, year of work in the same school and seniority.
