THE DEA - AHP HYBRID RANKING MODEL APPLIED 4 STAR HOTELS IN ANKARA
Abstract :
Today, competition is an increasing trend and modern business attach to importance of productivity analysis for increasing their competitive forces. The manufacturing companies can easily make their efficiency analysis by using “key Performance Indicators” and it is easier than service serving companies’ efficiency analysis. Data Envelope Analysis (DEA) is available for service serving companies’ efficiency analysis. Data Envelope Analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) hybrid algorithm essential for effectiveness of performance evaluation. In this study by two staged technique, firstly DEA model has been established and solved by LINDO software and then in the second stage AHP has been used on computed results. Four starred Hotels in Ankara have been analyzed by DEA-AHP hybrid algorithm in order to determine effectiveness among parameters that was chosen related for Hotel’s input-output. In this research, eight hotels, which are similar with each other according to benchmark criteria’s, are chosen among 21 four star Ankara hotels and as a result of the study, the number of beds, number of employees, restaurant capacity, conference room capacity inputs, hotel revenue, room occupancy rates and customer satisfaction was monitored in data envelopment analysis.
