Abstract :
In recent years, it is observed that most states are encouraging their institutions to carry out various performances improvement activities, and that those institutions are restructuring their managerial functions accordingly. All these efforts could be viewed in the framework of the “modernization of public administration”. In this respect, a modern methodology constitutes the focus of this study that is resultsbased management. Via the results-based management model, public administrators can better see the needs of the governed public, adopt a long-term vision for their future, and make appropriate decisions accordingly. Thus, the institutions can be managed in a flexible, transparent, effective and efficient structure. The hypothesis of this study is the argument that the results-based management will raise the performance. Hence, the aim of this study is to shadow forth the significance of results-based management on administrators of public institutions. The methodology used in the study was Indirect or Nonreactive Methods. Technically the foreign written sources pursed and the stages of the results-based management interceded substantially. In that framework, larger parts of the resources were selected from foreign sources so as to better explain the related concepts. Based on the information, it is concluded that the results-based management model would contribute to managerial functions of public institutions.
