Abstract :
Technological developments and growing information on health services, increasing expectations of thepatients, changes in national legislation and health politics put health managers under pressure during decision making. With the Health Transformation Program enforced as a result of all these developments, it will be unavoidable that pressure on the shoulders of health managers will be mostly focused on financial decisions. The health managers need to have knowledge on accounting and finance at least as much as a business administrator in order to give right decisions. With this research, wearied to determine the status of accounting and finance courses within the curricula of university departments at under graduate level teaching health managers. We observed that among the undergraduate studies, accounting and finance courses are given in different classes under different titles, and the departments allocate mean average 9,5% of their curricula to accounting and finance classes.
