Participation banking, that has a recent history rather than traditional banking in Turkish financial sector, has significantly grown so far. Developing countries that need capital accumulation especially benefit from these participation banks, thanks of globalized capitalization as of new investment opportunities. They also provide unused stocks to be used in the real economy. There are 3 main parts included in the paper; explaining the emergence of participation banking, gathering stocks and the way of using it, advantages and disadvantages of participation banking versus conventional banking sector.
