Abstract :
Equalities between individuals, social classes and countries increased and deepened during the neo-liberal globalization process. As a result of this process, uncertainity and insecurity became a usual part of social life. Because of the decline of the traditional labor movement which caused by the economy policies a social opposition deficit problem came into question. At this point the new social movements which started with the 1968 Movement came into prominence as a social opposition alternative. Anti-World Trade Organization protests which settled in Seattle in 1999 has a special place in the new social movements discussions. After Seattle, World Social Forum has arranged as a global opposition movement against the globalization of the capital. The question of how could global movements solve the local and national problems has been the main problem of World Social Forum. These arguments accelerated after the 2008 Crisis. During this period the social movements which started in Greece and continued in Spain and partially Arab countries became a symbol of new opposition percept. The negative effects of economic crisis upon the middle classes in the United States and the precautions which aims to benefits of the capitalist class and compensated from the middle classes raised social unrest in the United States too. The anti-crisis protests in the United States started with the large and small actions and experienced a big leap after the Occupy Movement in 2011. The aim of this study, interpreting the 2008 Crisis and the Occupy Movement in the axis of neo-liberal ideology.
