Abstract :
The real aim of leader member exchange is to fulfill the individual and organizational goals in today’s organizational environment. The collective methodologies in which win-win strategies play very effective roles are used very often to achieve this aim. The group interaction settled through leader’s interactional justice vision varies in different levels and categories; this interaction goes on till to the end of the membership process which begins with member’s participation and this interaction affects the performance and role distinction in the organization. While the group members try to lead the interaction and affect their leaders with self-sacrifice behaviors, they also want to get the exclusive roles in their organizations. In this context, the instrumental climate perception may encourage the self-sacrificed behaviors to get the distinguished roles and may cause ignoring the other’s benefits. The aim of present study is to investigate the mediator role of instrumental climate perception for the model analyzing the effects of self-promotion on leader member exchange. Five hundred and fifty questionnaires were delivered to the target population chosen from the primary and high school teachers working in Ankara city with the easy sampling methodology. As a result of the study it was revealed that the self-promotion behaviors has an effect on leader member exchange dimensions except the professional esteem and instrumental climate has an partial mediating role on this effect.
