Abstract :
The aim of this study is to investigate, especially on the basis of energy use, whether Turkey can adapt to activities aimed at stopping climate change caused by the increase in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission. For this purpose, “six basic criteria for reducing the use of non-renewable energy and GHG emission” have been determined with reference to international activities related to climate change and the level of Turkey s ability to meet such criteria has been researched. Based on Turkey’s climate change targets in this study, it has been used five-years of data for the period of 1990-2030 and has been performed descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis have shown that needs time of Turkey to fulfill the six basic criteria for reducing for the use of non-renewable energy and GHG emission for stopping climate change.
