Abstract :
The purpose of the study is to compare performance efficiency of businesses listed in the sector of Fabricated Metal Products, Machinery and Equipment on Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) by using Data Envelopment Analysis. Data Envelopment Analysis is a method that is used to determine to effective and ineffective units, performing in same subject and using similar inputs and outputs. As a result of the analysis, it is found that 5 businesses are efficient in 4 periods of 2008. In addition to that, the potential recovery rates are calculated for the inefficient manufacturing businesses and made some recommendations how they might perform better.
