Abstract :
Organizations which will be able to edge into the market of the future should extend the market share and reach the effective position. Every business which wants to play “lions” (high market share - high turnover) in the future strategically aims to be in possession of a manager profile having high potential. In this context, it is crucial that “to determine leader - manager characteristics of SMEs which has high market share”. This study was surveyed in Kayseri. A questionairre about the measurement of manager visionary was made based on face to face interview technique with 260 furniture firm but 102 participants was suitable for evaluation. Also, descriptive, factor and regression analysis, clustering, reliability test were performed and questionairre validity was tested with SPSS v 15.0. About 63 % of questionairre is consistent. Based on the questionairre, the characteristics of manager types in SMEs was determined, classified, based on education and turnover, “SMEs managers having which types of capital structure, which type of leadership behaviours” for furniture sector was researched. Finally, the type of leader-manager for SMEs representing the population of furnisher in +-%10 significance level was appeared. Original leadership typology came into existence. If you consider that, % 40 of annual turnover of Turkey is produced by furniture sector of Kayseri; this work can be foreseen for Turkey as an example.
