Abstract :
Foreign direct investment is one of important constituents which should be evaluated, particularly for the developing countries. Because, the outside capital, as well as bringing tecnological innovation to a country, enables entrepreneurs to reorganize themselves and also makes important contributions to economic boost and development. Foreign direct investment manipulates numerous economic indicators pertaining to host nation such as employment, economic boost, balance of payment, export, inflation. After comprehending the importance of Foreign Direct Investment in Turkey, Numerous legal adjustments have been made particularly in the time after 1980. However, Foreign direct investment performance of a country is not only determined by legal adjustments but by political, geographic and cultural factors as well. In this sense, the economic factors which is affecting the foreign direct investment measures in Turkey was rummaged in this study. As important developments were achieved in Turkey in due course of foreign direct investments access in 1980 lead time, per annum data including 1980–2007 session was used in this research. The analysis was made analysed with Co-integration and Granger-Causality test methods. In consequence of the analysis, There have been found a positive relationship between foreign direct investment and outward- orientedness and market volume; and a negative relationship among interest rate, service sector activity, and economic stabilisation.
