Abstract :
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of job demands, job control, and the relationship between these two variables on burnout. For this aim, through questionnaires, data were collected from a five star hotel in Antalya Manavgat. 137 questionnaires were analyzed. The results of the study showed that job demands, job control and the relationships between these two variables have effects on burnout. Besides, it was determined that there was a significant differences between the groups which have different job demands and job control rates. There are two important limitations about the study. First, the results of the study cannot be generalized, as the survey was administered in only one hotel. Second, in the survey, the data were collected by using a “self-report” methodology, so another limitation is the possibility of common method variance.
