Abstract :
Studies on Leadership focused on which of the following among autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire leadership styles are adopted by leaders. There weren’t any study has seen that focused on whether political leaders or managers show any submissive behavior or not. The aim of this study is to examine whether political leaders show any submissive behavior or not based on their leadership styles which are autocratic, democratic and laissezfaire.. The research results show that, the mayors do not show any submissive behavior in general, but it was seen that the mayors who adopted democratic and laissez-faire leadership style are more inclined to show submissive behavior than autocratic leadership style. Research results also show that education, age, experience, political party affiliation creates differences in submissive behavior of political leaders.
