Abstract :
Public expenditure and the effect of public field’s size upon the economic growth has an important place in economy and finance science. Two important approach, which deal with the relationship between public expenditure and economic growth ,are the hypothesis of Wagner and Keynes. It composes the core of the hypothesis of Wagner that the tought urging there is a casuality relatioship through the public expenditures to GNP. On the other hand, the theory of Keynes states that public expenditures affect GNP positively. İn this work a dynamic model used which designate the relationship between public expenditures and economic growth based upon datas of Turkish economy . The findings which obtained from the econometrics show the existence of casuality relationship from public expenditures to GNP in the short period and in long period it shows an exact opposite situation.
