Abstract :
This paper studies the leader-member exchange with a multidimensional approach while also tackling the relationships between the personality traits and power sources, and various dimensions of leader-member exchange (affect, loyalty, contribution and professional respect). The study has been conducted on 284 university students. According to the results obtained, it has been found that agreeableness per se relates to all dimensions of leader-member exchange. However, when personality traits are taken up with power sources, power sources have been found to be more effective variables. More meaningful and positive relationships have been found especially between charisma and expertise, two of the sources of personal power, and all dimensions of leader-member exchange
