PROBLEMS AND EXPECTATİONS OF ACCOUNTING TRAINEES ENCOUNTERED DURING THE TRAINING PERIOD: AN APPLICATION IN THE TR90 REGION
Abstract :
Although the accountancy profession includes almost the same activities in every country, specifications for being a member of the profession vary from country to country. In our country, being a trainee is also one of the requirements besides have an appropriate education. The aim of the study is revealing problems that encountered during the training period of CPA (Certified Public Accountant) trainees and their expectations from authorized persons and organizations and, developing suggestions to improve the quality of training process. With this aim, data collected by a questionnaire from 92 participants who are trainees in the TR90 region and analyzed with frequency, factor, t-test and ANOVA by using SPSS 18.0 software package program. It has determined that trainees have problems arising from issues like wages, working time, busy schedule and reluctance of CPAs to employ trainees and, some solutions have included.
