Winter tourism demand: an application on Erzurum
Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to determine sources of region affecting factors individuals who choose to the Erzurum province so as to take advantage of the winter tourism in the province and to present these factors of the relationship among socio-economic and demographic factors. To achieve this aim, in 2015, the data obtained by way of a questionnaire applied to 531 tourists in the Erzurum province was analyzed by chi-square test and logit model. As a result, it has been found to be positively related nationality, occupation, age and income variables between likelihood of choosing the Erzurum province and it has been found to be inversely related the education and spending variables between likelihood of choosing the Erzurum province.
