Abstract :
Rapid consumption of natural resources and how to protect sustainability of these resources for upcoming generations are brought to agenda through enlargement of industrialization. This phenomenon generates the concept of sustainability and sustainability reporting by way of demand of information from stakeholders and companies itself about how much economical, environmental and social responsibilities are acknowledged. With augmented consciousness on sustainability in society, expectations of investors, customers and international pressure groups about the issue are developed as well. On this point of view, costs of encountered unfavorable effects in mining industry are scrutinized. In the framework of “Regulations on the Rehabilitation of Degraded Land due to Mining Activities” basing on Environment Law numbered 2872 enacted in 2007, possible costs are manifested with sustainability approach.
