USE OF VENTURE CAPITAL FINANCING MODEL AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO FINANCIAL PROBLEMS OF COMPANIES: A RESEARCH IN ISTANBUL CITY
Abstract :
One of the most important problems faced by companies that are considered cornerstones of the economy is financing problem. This study aims to reveal the awareness of companies on venture capital financing as an alternative model and the results after companies implement model in today’s difficult competition conditions. In this study, particularly export firms operating in Istanbul city were examined. 401 companies were conducted poll to embody the study. Cross tables arranged and data on tables were tested by using chi-square method. As conclusion of study; It is detected that many companies experience financial problems and they apply for a bank loan as solution. It is also specified companies do not have detailed information on venture capital financing method and informed companies do not prefer to use the method actively.
