THE EVALUATION OF THE REACTIONS OF FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS TO THEIR INTERPERSONAL PROBLEMS
Abstract :
Daily life is full of different problems at different difficulty levels. Evaluating these problems as a part of development to create healthy communication some problem solving strategies have been developed. The problems of the students who are always in interaction with each other and which problem solving strategies are used are important. In this study, how elementary school students solve their interpersonal problems is investigated and it is thought that the findings would be a contribution to students to develop their own problem solving strategies. The data was collected from 376 fifth grade students and to gather the data, a questionnaire of 20 items was used. The findings obtained from 10 elementary schools are as follows. Students usually solve their interpersonal problems teacher assisted and they don’t sufficiently prefer face to face communication to solve their problems. In the light of these findings, some suggestions have been presented.
