Abstract :
Adoption of transparency in administration is an important necessity for preservation of employee rights. Transparency in an organization yields effective communication and trust environment.When information about teachers is not shared with transparency by administrators, distrust sense occurs in institution, especially in educational organizations. This situation effects professional progress of teachers’ negatively as well as it decreases their job satisfaction and motivation. The aim of this study is to investigate effect of transparency in school administration on teachers who are in different career phases. Phenomenology is used from among qualitative investigation patterns and interviews technique is used as data mining tool. The sample group of this investigation is regular teachers assigned in different branches in 2012-2013 education year. Data obtained via semi-structured interviews with teachers, on transparency in school administration is subjected to content analysis and teachers are divided into group according to similarities of their opinions. These groupings are handled in form of three main topics which are transparency from professional progress opportunities perspective, transparency from elements affecting communications perspective and transparency from trust-providing elements perspective. According to acquired findings, it is determined that transparency in school administration contributes to professional progress of teachers and it also has positive reflections from healthy treatment of mentorship activities and provision of effective communication and constitution sustainable trust environment perspectives.
