Title Of Article :
Discussing the place of topology in primary, secondary and high school curriculum
Abstract :
Although the geometry learning was influenced by Euclid Geometry, it appears that the separation of various branches resulted in the necessity of expanding the scope of geometry. In this study how topology was examined as a part of the mathematics curriculum in primary, secondary and high schools. The document analysis was used in the qualitative study. The data were analyzed by using the content analysis. The results show that the curves, graphs, the surface and the topological transformation were disscussed in the study of topology and the topological terms were. delineated. Whether the topology should be included in primary, secondary and high school curriculums has been discussed based upon the findings of the study
