Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to inform the prospective science teachers about the inclusive education and to improve their competence in this field. It also aims to enable them to use the theoretical knowledge they have learned in the School Experience and Teaching Practice courses. In this way, they will be able to obtain the knowledge and skills they need in their careers by practicing. The study of this research consisted of 4th grade pre-service science teachers who were studying at a government university in İstanbul Province. The implementation and data collection process were carried out in both fall and spring semesters of the academic year of 2016-2017. In this context pre – and post-tests were carried out before and after the implementation to prospective science teachers. Thus, in this project we attempted to determine the effect of a focus on inclusive education in teacher preparation programs on prospective science teachers’ inclusive education competencies.
